Located on the campus of Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel, this vital home has faithfully served thousands of children and families since first opening its doors in 1997. Fully remodeled in 2025, Portland East House can support up to 30 families each night and is filled to the brim with love and care.

Our newly remodeled House has gorgeous spaces and plenty to offer during your family stay.

25 guest suites with private bathrooms and fully stocked linens, towels, and toiletries.
5 Respite Rooms with 3 shared bathrooms, including an ADA bathroom.
Free food including access to an expansive in-House food pantry, a grab and go coffee + snack bar, and nightly dinners, thanks to our amazing volunteers.
Weekly program offerings that can include music, guided crafts, pet-assisted therapy and more.

Access to beautiful common spaces including a game room, fitness room, play areas, a multi-family ADA-accessible kitchen, dining area, living rooms and a cozy library.
Outdoor spaces featuring two playgrounds, gardens, and outdoor barbeque.
Plenty of games and toys for indoor and outdoor play.
24-hour staffing and daily “concierge” services provided by staff and volunteers.

We have all the amenities you might need, including:

Televisions, microwaves, and small refrigerators in each of the 25 guest suites.
On-site laundry facilities with detergent and supplies provided.
Free Wi-Fi
Library and business center with free computer access.

Fully stocked kitchens and pantries, including space to store your personal food.
Toiletries, supplies and more to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
