Our Mission

At Ronald McDonald House, we provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families,

and promote healing when children need healthcare.

Our Vision

A world where every family has what they need to ensure the best health outcomes for their children.

A Space for Love to Stay in the Fight since 1984

For more than 40 years, Ronald McDonald House Oregon has been holding families together when it matters most. We started with a modest 17-room House and have grown into a statewide network of four Houses with 86 rooms and four in-hospital programs serving thousands of families every year.

Our dedicated staff, volunteers and supporters have made it possible for us to provide round the clock love and support to 50,000 families and counting since we first opened our doors. We provide this vital resource at no cost to the families we serve, making it possible for love to stay in the fight. So it has a better chance of winning.

In 2025 alone, Ronald McDonald House Oregon provided over 20,000 free night stays across our 4 Houses, helping families save $5.4 million in lodging, meal and support expenses.

Adult Patient and Family Housing

While our charitable mission, and 100% of our fundraised dollars, are focused on providing family-centered care for children from birth to 21, Ronald McDonald House Oregon is benefitted by business agreements with three Oregon hospitals to operate adult patient and family housing programs. Through these partnerships, we are supported by a sustainable stream of earned revenue and are able to offer our unique brand of compassionate hospitality to a broader segment of the community.

Overall, we operate 49 adult patient and family guest rooms through these business partnerships including 38 rooms for adult patients at the OHSU Rood Family Pavilion in Portland, 10 rooms for adult patient families at PeaceHealth’s Heartfelt House in Springfield, and one room for adults undergoing out-patient cancer treatment on the campus of St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.
